Method
- Melt the butter and place in a bowl with all the other ingredients.
- Mix to a dough and knead well.
- Divide into golf ball sized pieces, pat into a ball and leave on a greased tray to rise.
- After about an hour they should have doubled in size.
- Set your deep fryer to 150°C and fry the donuts until they are golden brown. This will take about 8-10 mins on each side.
- Drain and roll the donuts in sugar.
- Leave to cool.

Once the donuts are cool, you can pierce a hole in the side and pipe in some jam.
